This district is certainly the most sympathetic in Paris. Several gardens are close to the apartment (Luxembourg, Boucicaut). Main museums are at less than 15 minutes walk (Louvres, Orsay, Grand Palais...). The quarter has three metro lines and many bus lines. The Seine is at less than 10 minutes by walk. Two supermarkets are at less than 5 minutes walk (among them the famous "Grande Epicerie de Paris").
The quarter is particularly well known for its restaurants, its bars, its Jazz bars. It's also the best spot in France for shopping, all famous French and Italian Brands have a place in the immediate surroundings of the apartment.
