This lovely studio is located on rue Coustou, two steps away from rue Lepic and rue des Abbesses, (right next door to “Les Deux Moulins”, Amélie’s famous café from the movie). The area is lively and very charming, both touristic and authentic, bohemian and bourgeois, from quiet small streets with typically Parisian cafés and restaurants, to famous places like the Moulin Rouge, the Sacré Coeur and it panoramic view on Paris, the Place du Tertre (the artists place), the Dali museum, and of course the intriguing night-life in Pigalle. You will find traditional artisan shops next to fashion boutiques, young creators, art galleries. And every weekend, part of this area (including rue Coustou) becomes pedestrian, and the rue Lepic is transformed into a lovely market with fresh quality products, outdoor cafés and street musicians.
The main room of the studio is newly re-furbished, with an authentic oak hardwood floor, apparent beams and a “hand-made” kitchen corner. It is clean and bright. The studio is situated on 3rd floor, with no elevator, in a secure Parisian building, with a digicode and a concierge. The apartment’s door has a high security lock.
This 17 square meter (about 200 sq.feet) studio is ideal for one or two people. It includes a luminous room with a sofa-bed (for 2), a table, chairs, shelves, a dressing and large cupboards. It is also equipped with a television, a DVD player, an hi-fi, a vacuum-cleaner, an iron, a hairdryer, a phone (free incoming and outgoing local calls). It also has a high speed internet access with ADSL cable/usb/wifi, as well as free international phone calls to 49 destinations including mobile phone calls to the USA and Canada.
The kitchen is fully-equipped with hot plates, a fridge, a small oven, a coffee maker, a toaster, dishes and cooking utensils, as well as basic products (e.g. olive-oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, sugar).
The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub, toilets, a washbasin, shelves and cupboards. We provide clean linen and towels.
Thanks to the central location of the studio, the Metro Blanche (line 2) is only 1minute away, and it takes 5 minutes by foot to reach line 12 (Abbesses and Pigalle) and 13 (Place de Clichy). Several bus-lines, including night-lines, are just as close. In just 15 minutes, you can be on Champs-Elysées, at the Eiffel Tower or Notre Dame. Less than 10 minutes to Beaubourg, Les Halles (the centre of Paris), the Galleries Lafayette, the Opera and the Place Vendôme. Additionally, a post-office, a, exchange office, a bank, a supermarket (8am – 23pm),a bakery, grocery-shops, a swimming-hall, a cinema, a 24h open pharmacy, etc. are situated a couple of minutes walk from the apartment.
